Webster County Schools is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. We understand that when student behavior incidents occur, families and community members may seek information. However, student privacy laws strictly limit what we can share regarding individual student discipline matters.
Be assured that:

  • We take all incidents seriously. School personnel are required to make reports to appropriate authorities when they have reason to believe the health and safety of students are at issue. Every situation is addressed according to district policies, state laws, and school safety protocols.
  • We follow strict legal guidelines. Federal laws, including FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), prevent us from publicly discussing specific students, disciplinary actions, or consequences.
  • Our priority is student safety and well-being. While we cannot share details about individual cases, we want to assure our community that appropriate actions are always taken per district policies.
Misinformation can be harmful. Contact us with concerns or clarification rather than relying on social media speculation.  We encourage open communication, and, as a reminder, our Facebook page will remain respectful. Please keep comments civil and constructive, without personal attacks, misinformation, and inappropriate language. We want to keep our post comments open; however, comments that violate these expectations may be hidden or removed. We appreciate our community’s understanding and support as we work to uphold student privacy, safety, and due process. While we cannot always share details, please know that every decision is made with the best interests of all students in mind.
